1 INSTALLATION

The roots of University of Maribor go back to 1859, which is marked as being the beginning of higher education in Maribor.

Today University of Maribor has seventeen faculties, with around 15.000 students and 1.800 employees. It is located in the city of Maribor and also in other parts of Slovenia. Internationalization plays an important role; the University aims to promote partnerships with businesses, governmental and nongovernmental and other institutions in society to enrich university teaching, research and creative activity; prepare educated, engaged citizens; strengthen democratic and ethical values, and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; respect ecological and environmental issues; promote sustainability in development; and contribute to the public good.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture at the University of Maribor carries out study programs Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Architecture and the interdisciplinary program Industrial Engineering within Civil Engineering. The Faculty strives to create, develop and expand engineering know-how in the field of civil engineering, traffic engineering and architecture and transfer it in the best way possible to students and to the profession, thus enriching the lives and creative work of graduates and of the economy. Moreover, the Faculty pursues the goal to carry out its scientific and research activity in a manner that would contribute to the global treasury of knowledge at an international scale and that would be reflected in innovative design and learning which are fundaments for the progress of society. Dr. Primož Jelušič

Dr. Primož Jelušič

Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Architecture

Primož started his career in 2005 when he obtained his diploma at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Maribor (2009). Primož Jelušič obtained his PhD in 2013 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Maribor, where he was employed as assistant in the field of Building Materials an assistant in the field of Geotechnics. Associate prof. Primož Jelušič is involved in pedagogical and research work at the University of Maribor, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering and Architecture. His research is primarily focused on the optimization of structures and Geotechnics.
